Time to CHILL
Many of us were brought up drinking tea hot, This summer, break out of your old habit and try tea cold! On hot summer nights, this chilled herbal drink is simply sublime!
Ingredients
1 tsp German Chamomile
1 tsp Turkish Apple
1 tsp Jasmine buds
1/2 tsp Peppermint
Put all the ingredients in a teapot, pour in hot water to steep for 5 minutes.
Drain. Stir in honey to taste. When the drink is slightly cooled, place it in a fridge until chilled.
Ready to relax with on a hot summer night.
Tea-bits: Chamomile and Jasmine have been long used as relaxants. Peppermint will give you that touch of refreshness while helping digestion; and a little bit of Vitamin C from the Turkish Apple pieces to finish off this drink.
Make your tea stronger if you intend to chill it, as your tongue needs to work extra hard to taste chilled drinks or food.
Always chill tea covered (with lid) as tea absorbs odour (from food in your fridge) very quickly.
Iced tea always go well with fruit. Try adding peaches, sliced orange or something exotic like lychee or rambutan!
