"The future of nutrition is found in the ocean" Jacques Cousteau

For the first time in history, a perfect source of nutrition for the human body has been discovered! It is called "Marine Phytoplankton".

Dr Jerry Tennant, MD says "there are very few products that provide all, or even most, of the raw materials required to make new cells and sustain the existing ones. The problem is that we need ALL of them at the same time for things to work. One of those rare products that contains, in a concentrated form, almost everything you need for life (and the rebuilding of a healthy life) is Marine Phytoplankton. It contains the nine amino acids that the body cannot make. The essential fatty acids are also present (Omega 3 and Omega 6). Vitamins A, B1, B2, B3, B5, B6, B12, C, D and major and trace minerals are all present in phytoplankton".

It started on a sea farm...
It all started with Tom Harper, a sea farmer in northern British Columbia, who created a 30 million dollar facility on the edge of the northern Pacific Ocean to grow marine phytoplankton year round to feed his shellfish. His process recreates the "Spring Bloom" of marine phytoplankton 365 days a year. The sea farm gives back in a very unique way. First, it provides a resource for the researchers onsite and second, it puts a daily supply of marine phytoplankton back in the ocean. Over 200 different species thrive, a variety unrivaled anywhere else in the world (other farms boast 12, 25, or 50 max).

There is actually more phytoplankton returning to the ocean during the harvesting process than there is coming in from the ocean. This supports an amazingly diverse ecosystem near the farm. "The reef beneath the farm is rebuilding due to the extra marine phytoplankton…sea otters and bald eagles have moved back into the area due to the abundance of new fish and sea life that have returned." says Tiffany Haarsma, also of the sea farm. "Not to mention the extra oxygen created by the plankton every day in the 8 one million litre growing tanks."

When he was diagnosed with a terminal form of lung cancer, whereby doctors gave him only a short time to live, Tom Harper decided to start eating his phytoplankton. He thought "if it is good for my fish, why not me?" After eating small quantities of this strange substance, he found his health rapidly restored. Not only was the cancer a thing of his past, but his life-long challenge to maintain a healthy weight was finally achieved, and he was able to eliminate his use of insulin - a product that he had been dependent on for 17 years. Harper attributes his recovery to eating phytoplankton.

Dr Hugo Rodier, MD, says "Marine Phytoplankton are very close to ideal nutrition. The research we are doing on the health benefits are very exciting and promising. We have found that marine phytoplankton support the health of cells and cellular membranes. The micronutrients and electrolytes are exactly what human cell membranes need to carry out their metabolism. They are alkaline in pH which helps balance our typically acidic diet, they enhance the immune system and have anti-viral effects".

Marine Phytoplankton are the basis of life on the planet. They are microscopic plants that float in the ocean and convert light into abundant life. According to NASA they are responsible for over 90% of the oxygen in our atmosphere. They are the primary food source for some of the largest and longest living mammals in the world – baleen whales. Blue whales, bowhead whales, gray whales, humpbacks and right whales all eat plankton. These species live between 80 and 150 years and maintain great strength and endurance throughout their lives. The largest fish, a plankton eating whale shark, lives for over 150 years, grows up to 14 meters long, weighs up to 15 tons and is sexually active until it dies.

Human Health Benefits:
The elements and electrolytes in plankton are virtually tailor-made for the human body. They supply everything the body needs to make healthy cells. It’s no coincidence that the composition of human plasma is similar to that of seawater. Our bodies are in many ways symbiotic with ocean processes and our internal body requirements reflect this similarity. Unfortunately, over reliance on exclusive land-based food sources in our diet quite often leads to deficiencies in many micronutrients and trace elements that are necessary for normal bodily function. The human body needs these elements to perform optimally as nature intended. Left to its own devices, the human body has a marvelous system called homeostasis which keeps all systems in balance. However, take away some critical component and the body experiences malfunctions.
