Benefits of Meditation
How can meditation benefit me, you may ask? Meditation is one of the most powerful and easy healing tools to learn. It will allow you to manage/eliminate stress from your life, therefore feeling more positive, focused and centered so that you can make clear and confident decisions.
Creative Visulisation (sometimes referred to has Image Mind Work), is simple to learn, allowing you to use your imagination and the power of your mind in a positive and constructive way, targeting your goals and assisting you in fulfilling any projects and deadlines that you are involved in either in your work environment or personal life.
The mind is very powerful so when experiencing deep relaxation during meditation you allow yourself to become in control of the mind rather than the mind be in control of you! The mind is always active you cannot stop its activity, but you can calm it and slow the repetitive "chatter" down!
During times of stress and anxiousness we loose site of our inner promptings – our intuitive guidance, this is when we may make the wrong decisions or create self doubt within us and start to worry over things. Meditation will center you again, calm and relax you. Our busy lives keep us from tuning into our body and how it feels in the present moment, along with our intuition, we simply forget how to use it! When you take a guided journey through your body you allow your mind to tune into the sensitivities, feelings and the energy both within and around you, and all your senses are activated. Every system in your body takes a well earned rest!
This is when your cardiovascular system calms and is soothed, your nervous system begins to relax and the digestive system benefits greatly by the relaxed state you are experiencing. There is a general slowing down while each system becomes more rested. This in turn allows a more efficient functioning of all the body’s seven systems. You will experience higher energy levels and optimism enabling you to take charge of your life and feel more happy and content.
Meditation can be used to enhance and stimulate optimum health in conjunction with any other therapies that you are presently receiving. It is without doubt – one of the greatest healing tools you will ever learn! You will experience increased self-confidence, motivation, vitality, inner strength and ability to prevent external stress’s impacting on your life, improving both your physical and emotional health and well-being and generating vital energy! You will sleep more soundly and experience restful sleeps, waking up feeling energized and ready to seize the day!
People say they don’t have time to sit and be still for 15-20 minutes, well you will be truly amazed with how good you feel if you devote daily sessions into your busy schedule. You will find anything you Do, You will Do Better by Meditating!
Positive outcomes are many, and you can learn to draw that which you desire into your life purely by visualization and using the power of your mind and your intent whilst on a guided journey. Regular meditation allows you to develop a deeper awareness of your true self, your feelings and emotions. It enables you to discover how you perceive things in life and how your perceptions can formulate your attitudes.
In turn you discover how your attitudes can activate your actions and direction in life. If we want to make positive changes within ourselves we can achieve this through guided journeys during the meditation.
Simple Exercise:
To begin you simply need to sit down and relax in a quite place where you won’t be disturbed for at least 15-20 minutes. You can play some relaxing ambient music or have simple quietness. Ensure that your posture is correct with your back straight and supported and that you are seated comfortably. Close your eyes and just focus on your breath, watch your breath flow in and out in a gentle relaxed way. As you observe you may notice that you are shallow breathing, what you need to do is breath more deeply, but in a relaxed way, not forcing anything, experience your chest expanding as you fill your lungs with the breath, then on the next in breath feel yourself taking the breath right down to the pit of your belly. This is where you need to breathe from, you will feel the diaphragm lift, right from the pit of your belly, and in a relaxed way always exhale fully.
This exercise will enable you to relax and experience a peaceful state of inner calm. From this point guided journeys can be taken, either by a facilitator, a CD that you listen to, or when you become experienced with tuition you can take yourself on a spontaneous journey, but these often manifest with quite a lot of practice.
The exercises or journeys as I like to call them, can be for healing both physical and emotional. They can assist in relationships whether, they be intimate, friendly or work related. These journeys allow you to work more harmoniously with people in your life and to generate positive energy to every situation that you encounter. They allow you to communicate at a deep level with another, in particular if you are afraid of expressing your true feelings. They are simple and easy to learn and fun!
Wonderful feedback has been received and acknowledged from people whose lives have been transformed by devoting time to daily meditations! It is tremendously rewarding to see the positive outcome each person experiences and know that they are equipped with the knowledge of a powerful yet gentle, healing tool for the rest of their lives.
Take time out now to relax and enjoy these wonderful benefits that can be achieved whilst meditating.
