NLP: A MODEL OF EXCELLENCE AND COMMUNICATION

Neuro Linguistic Programming (NLP) began in the early 70’s as a model of excellence about how we communicate to ourselves and others. I first ran into NLP when I was business consulting in the western United States. I had originally looked into it to increase client compliance. We were getting the really big client fees but the clients were not doing what we suggested, so I investigated NLP. It dramatically increased the performance of the individuals and the organizations who became our clients.

That was 25 years ago. Today we teach NLP. It is a series of techniques that dramatically increase performance for individuals and organizations… producing measurable results. These techniques allow us to eliminate the mental and emotional blocks that prevent individuals and the organizations from performing at their best and using their best capabilities. People who use NLP find that they are making the best use of their thought patterns to produce excellence in their lives. We found that in addition to the above, they also used what they had learnt to create better relationships with their partners and family.

I consulted to the local Mercedes dealership and worked with their number 8 sales person (out of 8). I found that he had some limiting beliefs about himself which prevented him from assertively prospecting clients which limited his sales. After 5 hours of individual Coaching he became the number one sales person in the organization within 30 days. The process was simple, during our coaching sessions we eliminated what prevented him from performing at his best.

Organizationally, we use NLP to dramatically increase sales and manage performance. At this level we use a training or seminar setting.
